We arrange Catholic funerals the way the Church celebrates them: a vigil, the funeral Mass at your parish, and burial in the cemetery you choose. A traditional funeral is $5,550, and we work with your priest and the cemetery so your family can focus on saying goodbye.

THE ORDER OF CHRISTIAN FUNERALS
The three parts of a Catholic funeral
Each part has its own prayers and its own place. We arrange all three and keep them on schedule.
1
The Vigil
Family and friends gather to pray, often with the rosary or a vigil service. Held at our funeral home or at your parish, often the evening before the Mass.
2
The Funeral Mass
Celebrated at your parish church. We bring your loved one in the funeral coach, guide the pallbearers and work with the parish on the date and time.
3
The Rite of Committal
Final prayers at the graveside or mausoleum, at the Catholic cemetery or family plot you choose.
PACKAGES AND PRICES
Packages for a Catholic funeral
Every burial package includes transportation from the place of death, a climate-controlled holding area, filing all legal documents, care of your loved one, transportation to the cemetery with a graveside service, and an online obituary. CREMATION AND THE CHURCH
Can a Catholic be cremated?
Yes. The Church allows cremation, though it prefers burial of the body. When cremation is chosen, the Church asks that the cremated remains be laid to rest in a cemetery or a church, not scattered, kept at home or divided among family.
We can arrange the funeral Mass with the body present and cremation afterward, burial of the urn in a Catholic cemetery or family plot, or a niche in a columbarium.
With us, a Traditional Funeral with the vigil and visitation, the funeral Mass at your parish and burial is $5,550. With the funeral coach for a Mass the next day, a metal casket, a cement liner and sales tax, the total is $8,641.43. Certified death certificates, if you need them, are $40 for the first copy and $20 for each additional copy. The parish offering and the cemetery’s charges are separate.
Can the funeral Mass be held with the cremated remains present?
In the United States, a funeral Mass may be celebrated with the cremated remains present. Your priest will tell you what your parish allows, and we’ll arrange it either way. The Church prefers the Mass with the body present and cremation afterward, which our Cremation with Visitation package includes.
What does the parish charge for a funeral Mass?
Each parish sets its own offering for the Mass and the musicians, paid directly to the parish. We’ll tell you the amount when we call the parish.
Can the wake be held at our church?
Yes. The visitation can be held at our funeral home in Irving Park or at your church, often right before the Mass. We’ll arrange it with your parish.
Do we need to belong to a parish?
Not always. Many parishes will celebrate a funeral Mass for a Catholic who lived nearby or whose family belongs there. Tell us which parish you’d like, and we’ll call to ask.
Can the Mass be in Spanish or Polish?
Many Chicago parishes celebrate Mass in Spanish, Polish and other languages. Tell us the language you’d like, and we’ll work with a parish that offers it. Se habla español.
Which Catholic cemeteries do you work with?
We work with all cemeteries, including Queen of Heaven, Mount Carmel, St. Adalbert, Maryhill, All Saints, St. Joseph, Calvary, Resurrection and Holy Sepulchre. See cemeteries we serve.
Do we have to buy the casket from you?
No. Under the Federal Trade Commission’s Funeral Rule, you may buy a casket from another seller or online. We will accept it and never charge a fee for using it.
Can we prepay a Catholic funeral?
Yes. A prepaid funeral plan
locks in today’s price for the vigil, the Mass and the burial, including the casket and the funeral coach for the Mass.
