In Loving Memory of Xavier Medina

Xavier Medina was born on November 19, 1982, at Munster Community Hospital to Mary Guadalupe Hernandez Medina and Carlos Medina. He was a beloved son, a cherished brother to Bernadette Serbin, and a devoted uncle to two nieces and two nephews, whom he loved dearly.

From an early age, Xavier demonstrated a bright and curious mind. He was an honor student with a strong passion for science and automotive studies. He actively participated in science competitions alongside close friends, earning medals that reflected both his intelligence and dedication. His academic achievements were a source of pride for his family and teachers alike.

Following high school, Xavier continued his education at Lincoln Technical Institute, where he excelled in automotive studies. He passed each course with top honors, and his school uniform proudly displayed the many distinctions he earned through hard work and perseverance. After graduating, Xavier pursued a career in the automotive field, working at dealerships and oil exchange businesses, where his skills and knowledge were evident.

Xavier's life journey was complex, as many are, and he faced challenges that tested him deeply. Through it all, he remained a kind-hearted soul who cared for others and sought connection. In his later years, he was a loyal friend and shared a particularly close and loving bond with his mother. His family never stopped believing in him and continued to root for him with unwavering hope and love.

Xavier's passing has left a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. Yet, he will be remembered not for his struggles, but for his intelligence, his warmth, his gentle spirit, and the love he gave and received. We find comfort in believing that he has now exchanged his earthly burdens for wings and rests peacefully in God's loving and redeeming embrace.

Xavier, you will be deeply missed. Your memory will live on through your parents, your sister, and your nieces and nephews. You are forever loved, and your life will be honored and celebrated each year.

With all my love,

Your little sister,

Bernadette
