A devoted mother and wife, cherished Nana, and adored GG, friend to all who knew her—passed away on July 12, 2026 peacefully in her sleep surrounded with love ones.

To know Maria was to know a heart that had infinite room. As the mother of seven children, her life was a testament to selfless devotion, ultimate sacrifice, and deep love. She navigated the beautiful chaos of a large family with faith, love, and an incredible ability to make each of her children feel uniquely special.

She was a trusted friend to many and never met a stranger. If she got you on the phone you had to be prepared to talk for hours. Any room she entered brightened. She enjoyed spending her "me time" reading her Bible, journaling and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of Maranatha for 30+ years and that's where she met many life long friends.

She leaves behind a rich legacy of love through her husband Thomas Rogers, seven heart beats, Michaela, Pierre, Stephen, Cortez, Tavish, Tristian and Tatum. Her 14 cherished grandchildren and 2 great namesake-granddaughters. Mother Ethel Turner and 4 sisters. A wide circle of extended family and lifelong friends.
