Victoria "Vicki" Sarah Manning was born at Grant Hospital in Chicago, IL, on April 26, 1949. She passed peacefully in her sleep on October 24, 2025, after a brief illness.

Vicki grew up loving to play – with her dolls and with her best friend, GiGi. As an adult, Vicki dedicated her life to providing therapy to her many clients at Lutheran Child and Family Services and in private practice. Vicki loved to sing, socialize, and read. For many years, she was an active member of the Unitarian Church of Evanston. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Louise Rewerts and Edward Safier, and her former husband and good friend, Jay Manning.

She is survived by her only child, daughter Ali Swanson. Vicki leaves behind loving family Beverly, Frank, and Sloane Manning; Jill Stewart, Judith Whitecrow, Gregg and Gary Rewerts, and Diana Brown; and loving friends Miriam Joseph, Gretchen Sonstroem, and GiGi Voris.
