Timothy Justin
Thomas-Warguleski
Jan 23, 1990 — Sep 18, 2024
Timothy Justin Thomas-Warguleski, known affectionately as Tim to his friends and loved ones, passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 34. Born on January 23, 1990, Tim brought light and joy to every life he touched. His unexpected departure while living in Chicago left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Tim is survived by his husband, Joey Thomas-Warguleski; his cherished mother, Theresa M Stephan (Ken); and his father, Christopher D Warguleski. He is also survived by his siblings, Rachael Dillworth (Collin), Eva Warguleski, Aaron Warguleski, and Andrew Warguleski; also his niece, Madison, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tim's journey through life was marked by his passion for music, singing, and the classics, which he pursued at the College of William & Mary. His endeavors there were the beginning of a life rich in professional excellence. Tim's remarkable talent in the world of hospitality led him to earn five lifetime Michelin Stars across four restaurants, a testament to his dedication and innovative capacity.
Beyond his professional success, Tim was a man of countless interests and talents. His love for the arts shone through his gift of song and his fondness for film, television, and theater. Everyday conversation was sparked with his obscure knowledge and love for trivia, and every game played was driven to memory by his competitive nature.
Those who knew him knew firsthand of his intelligence and sense of endless adventure. Tim's spirited approach to life inspired not only himself, but those in his community, to embrace stepping out of their comfort zones and joining him in his explorations of the experience of being; whether that be in new ideas or new places.
Tim's legacy is not only one of professional accolades and personal passions, but also of the relationships he nurtured and the lives he enriched. His infectious laugh, his willingness to lend an ear, and his ability to make every person he met feel special are qualities that will be sorely missed and never forgotten. His life, though far too short, was lived to the fullest, and the echoes of his voice and the warmth of his presence will remain with us always.
A celebration of life will be held in private in Richmond, VA.
