She was 88 years old.Terry grew up in the Philippines, where she pursued her passion for helping others by obtaining a Nursing Certificate. Her dedication to her profession was evident throughout her career.
She began her journey as a registered nurse at Cook County Hospital in 1966, where she served with compassion until 1973. Terry then continued her vocation at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Hospital until 1996. Her commitment to community health led her to the Lakeview and Pilsen Health Clinics, where she worked until 1998, touching countless lives with her care and empathy.Despite the loss of her beloved husband, Jose B. Vidal, in 1973, Terry's resilience shone through as she raised her two children, Miriam and Joseph, with boundless love and devotion.
She was a pillar of strength for her family, guiding them through life's challenges with wisdom and grace. Terry's parents, Alvaro Lising and Trinidad Vigilia, as well as her brothers Elvino, Florino and Ben Lising, sister Natividad Lising, nephew Alex and close friend Amy Mohammed predeceased her, but the values they instilled in her lived on through her actions and the legacy she leaves behind.Terry's spirituality was a guiding force in her life, providing her with solace and strength. She embraced a spiritual approach to life, finding beauty and connection in the world around her. Her creative soul found joy in gardening and painting, activities that not only brought her peace but also beautified the spaces and lives of those around her.
Traveling with her family was another source of happiness for Terry, as it allowed her to explore new places and create lasting memories with her loved ones.
