Tamatha "kricket" Launsburry, age 52, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2025.

She was born on November 15, 1973, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the beloved daughter of Marilee Lonze and the late Delmar Launsburry. She is survived by her mother; her daughters, Aurora Dailey and Raina Hagedorn (Tim); and her grandchildren: Addison, Remi, Tatum, Levi, Emersyn, Aria, and Willow; and her siblings, Stephen Launsburry, Todd Lonze, and Amye Garcia.

Tamatha's life was marked by both struggle and strength. Yet even in the midst of those struggles, she carried a tender heart, a wry sense of humor, and a quiet love for her family in the ways she was able to offer it.

She will be remembered for her resilience, for the softness beneath everything she carried, and for the pieces of herself she shared.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delmar Launsburry, and her stepfather, Thomas Lonze.

Cremation will take place in Chicago. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to organizations supporting addiction recovery, harm reduction, or women in crisis.

May she finally find the peace that life so often withheld from her.
