Sayvion
Morris
Oct 19, 2005 — Feb 12, 2026
Sayvion "Doobie" Morris, a cherished soul known for his interesting character, courageous spirit, and gentle heart, passed away on February 12, 2026, in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, due to cardiac arrest. Born on October 19, 2005, to Sylvia Baker and Levon Morris Sr., Sayvion's life was one filled with joy, music, and the love of his close-knit family.
Doobie, as he was affectionately called by those who knew him best, was a beacon of light in the lives of his family members. He was a beloved son, a protective brother to Heaven Baker and Levon Morris Jr., and a doting father to his precious daughter, Ny'Aira Plunkett. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A proud graduate of Field Labs High School, Sayvion went on to work as a cook at the Cook County Jail. His dedication to his work was evident in the care he put into every meal he prepared, and his colleagues respected him for his work ethic and his ability to bring a sense of community to the kitchen.
Sayvion's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He found solace in music, letting melodies and rhythms lift his spirits and inspire his days. Exercising was not just a hobby but a discipline for him, and he approached it with the same courage and determination that he did all aspects of his life. Video games provided a sanctuary for adventure and camaraderie, while his ultimate joy was found in the laughter and love that came from spending time with his family.
Those who knew Sayvion would describe him as an interesting individual who could always captivate a room with his stories and insights. His courage was evident not just in how he faced challenges but also in how he supported others in their times of need. And above all, his gentle nature made him a friend to all, a person who could offer comfort with a simple smile or a kind word.
In the words of William Shakespeare, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Sayvion played his role on this earthly stage with grace and authenticity, and though his time with us was brief, the impressions he left on the hearts of those he touched are indelible.
As we bid farewell to Sayvion "Doobie" Morris, we celebrate the life he lived and the love he gave. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always held dear in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were privileged to know him. May his story continue to inspire us, and may his spirit find eternal peace.
