Obituary

Sandra Sue Weiss, 81, originally from Camden Drive, in Beverly Hills, California, died peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She is survived by her partner Paula Guiliano of 32 years, and their dog Moxie. Sandy is the beloved daughter of the late Rudolph and Florence (nee Blanko) Weiss and her brother Ronald Rudolph Weiss, she is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Ann, and her two nieces, Jillian, and Christine along with an extended family of loving friends.

Sandy was a longtime resident of Lakeview, and she was confirmed at Temple Sholom, a graduate of Nettelhorst Elementary and Lakeview High School in Chicago. Sandy loved music and studied jazz piano. She attended classes at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and Boston University.

Sandy lived a wonderful and colorful life from coast to coast and touched the lives of many friends and family who will miss her wit, funny stories, and stoic wisdom.

Celebration of Life Memorial and burial will be held on Friday, September 20th from 9 to 10 am at Theis-Gorski Funeral Home 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.

Interment at the gravesite from 11:00 –11:30 am at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL 60162.

Please note the times have changed.

Enter the main gate on Wolf Road and follow the signs to the Office parking lot in the center. Attendees will be asked to line up to form a procession to Cremation Gardens for the Kaddish prayer service.
