Obituary

Samuel James "Sammy" Itzin, 41, late of Green Bay, Wisconsin, died February 3, 2025, in

Chicago, Illinois.

A celebration of life in Samuel's honor is being planned for July 2025, with information to be

provided at a later date.

Samuel was born July 9, 1983, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to William John and Kathleen

(Roberts) Itzin. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he earned a Bachelor's degree in

Marketing. Samuel dedicated over a decade of his early career to Kelly's Coffee and Fudge

Factory in Tucson, Arizona.

Samuel had a gift for conversation, turning strangers into friends within minutes. He would

often joke that he must have had "Please talk to me" written on his forehead. A warm and

engaging presence, he was always interested in others' days, gave great hugs, and was filled

with love for his children, finding immense joy in watching them grow and learn. Samuel

appreciated a good steak, great conversation, and the outdoors—especially hiking, fishing

and long car rides with family and friends.

Samuel is survived by his children, Evryn Itzin-Boatman (Sloan Boatman), and William M.M.

Itzin and Kelly S. Itzin (Kimberly Itzin); his brother Nick Itzin and spouse Amy; his sister Raquel

Itzin; his mother Kathleen Itzin; and other half siblings. He was preceded in death by his father,

William John Itzin.

The family asks that any charitable donations may be made to the Til Valhalla Project at https://

tilvalhallaproject.com. The family would also appreciate any personal remembrances and/or

photographs to share with his children to be sent to Kimberly Itzin, P.O. Box 456, Three Rivers,

MI 49093.
