Sadie Mae Staples was born February 23, 1934 in Crawford MS to the late Sallie Turner Ash and Isaac Ash senior . She departed this life on September 7, 2022.

At her early age she joined Saint James M.B Church in Crawford, MS. Later years she moved to Columbus, MS where she met and married the late Robert Lee Staples Sr. During their union they moved to Chicago IL, where she continue her life and became an active member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist in Chicago, IL under the leadership of the late Reverend Thomas. In later life she joined and became a faithful member of New Saint John Missionary Baptist Church (Chicago, IL) under the leadership of Reverend Wright.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers; Along with her sister, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her children; Yvonne Petty, Mary Neal of Columbus MS and Robert Staples and Edward Staples both of Chicago, IL. Her two sisters Janie Moody and Bertha Minor. Ten grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren, nineteen great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Two special friends Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Deborah Buckingham.
