Robert Hunt
Robinson
Dec 5, 1970 — Dec 7, 2024
It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Hunt Robinson, a lifelong lover, performer, and teacher of music. He was a beloved husband, a devoted father, a loving brother and a dear friend.
Robert was born on December 5th, 1970, in Wauwatosa, WI to Claude Delos Robinson and the late Charie Hunt Robinson. He studied music only and always, both in school and extracurricularly, becoming an exceptionally talented piano/keyboard player and singer. By the time he graduated from Brookfield Central he was already working professionally as a keyboardist in a band playing local gigs around Wisconsin.
Robert went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Musical Theater Performance from the University of Miami. He began performing in various stage productions in Miami before embarking on a decades long career in musical theater, film, and television that spanned from San Francisco to New York to LA and back again.
Robert's love of music transformed over time into a sincere passion for teaching, specifically voice. He opened RHR Voice Studio in San Francisco in 2009 and within a couple of years he was a well-loved and highly rated voice teacher.
In addition to his dedication to music and teaching people to sing, Robert was well-known for his quick wit, his boundless creativity, and his generosity. He was an amazing cook and loved to prepare meals for everyone, especially for his wife, his friends and his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Annaliese Gusse; his father, Claude Delos Robinson; his children, Julien and Amelia Robinson; his sister, Lori Rhodes and his brother, Jim Robinson.
Memorials will take place at later dates to be decided so that all of Robert's many friends and family that are currently spread out across the country may have a chance to celebrate his life.
