Ramon Rivera Sr., 72, passed away February 24, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois.

He was born January 25, 1952 in Michoacán, Mexico. He moved to the United States in the early 1970's, and made a life for himself with his wife Christine Rivera in 1973 in Chicago, Illinois.

He began working at Bagcraft that same year until he retired in 2019, which amounted to 45 years. While working there, he was an operator, a lead, a mentor, a friend, and the one person both management and his co-workers would go to for advice and guidance.

In his personal life, he enjoyed coaching and watching baseball, as well as watching football, soccer, and boxing. He also enjoyed family barbecues and other family gatherings. If someone needed help or if a problem arose, he was the first to offer assistance and aid without expecting anything in return.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine Rivera; his sons Ramon Rivera Jr. and Sergio Rivera; and his daughter Lisa Fronczak. While his death has left a huge hole in the lives of those who knew and loved him, he would want everyone to continue to live their lives to the fullest, as well as support each other when possible.
