Pattie Louise Snyder (Kerr) whose spirit was indomitable as the Windy City itself, passed on July 22, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her family at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

She was born September 7, 1951, to the late Patricia Owens Kerr and Paul Kerr; she was raised in Turtle Creek with her sisters, the late Linda Brinton and Sherry Kerr and she graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1969. She spent most of her life in Pittsburgh and moved to Chicago in 2022; both to be closer to her son Ryan and to hopefully run into her favorite actor, Taylor Kinney. Pattie never lost her love for a good party, where she was often the last one standing, or sitting, depending on how long she'd spent at her favorite Chicago bar, Lottie's. She loved a good cup of coffee and loved Chicago Fire, but above all, she loved her family and friends. She was beloved mother to Carl Skiles Jr. (Amy) and Ryan Skiles (Kristin Kipke), grandmother to Skyleanna Gandrud (Lane) and Asher Skiles, as well as great-grandmother to Emerson Gandrud and Aunt Pattie to numerous nieces and nephews. She was former wife and lifelong friend to Carl Skiles Sr. (Debbie) and best friend to Jean White.

Cremation will be facilitated by Caring Cremations of Chicago; in lieu of a service, Pattie requested her friends and family gather for a drink, which will take place on September 7, 2024 at Lottie's. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Nourishing Hope at www.nourishinghopechi.org
