Patrick Howard Carr, 73, of Bartonville, passed away at 12:44 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Hallmark Nursing, Pekin, IL.

Born December 3, 1950, in Pekin to William L. and Louise E. (Coryell) Carr, he married Bonnie Lynn Arnett on July 15, 1972, in Pekin, IL. She proceeded him in death by 20 days.

Surviving is one daughter, Michelle (Chris) Bruce of Bartonville; four grandchildren, Patrick (Morgan) Bruce of Pekin, Hannah (Adrian) Connelley of Pekin, Nicholas (April) Bruce of Bloomington, and Elijah Carr of Springfield, one sister, Nancy (John) Burris of Pekin and two brothers, Kevin Carr and Bill Carr, both of Morton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bonnie; one daughter, Jennifer Carr Walker; and one brother, Michael W. Carr.

Patrick graduated from Pekin Community High School and had retired after 32 years at Caterpillar as a driver and union representative. To keep busy after retirement from Cat, he worked at Holiday Inn City Center, drove the Party Bus for his daughter at Mooney's Pub and worked as assistant manager at the Shell Station in North Pekin. Patrick also volunteered for United Way and at Crittenton Crisis Nursery as Santa.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hallmark and Compassus for their supportive care for Patrick's final journey to be with his beloved Bonnie.

Graveside services with burial of ashes at Lakeview Cemetery will be held at a later date.
