Olga Carrillo Garcia passed away early in the morning of March 26, 2026 at John H. Stroger Jr. hospital. After a brief but painful battle, she succumbed to complications stemming from stage four liver cancer.

Olga was born on January 9, 1968 in San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico to her parents Santiago Carrillo Carrillo and Alicia García Cabrales. In her fifty-eight years, Olga brought countless moments of joy and laughter to those around her. She gave birth to a daughter and three sons. She enjoyed singing along loudly to music. She enjoyed watching films, allocating a disproportionate amount of time to a very peculiar group of films: The Mummy and Twilight franchises. She also enjoyed gossiping, whether to friends, family, or even complete strangers. She loved shopping and tagging along on car rides no matter how mundane the destination. Much to her disappointment, the only grandchildren she ever received were four-legged and covered in fur. With four adult children and no grandchildren, every last bit of love she had to give she gave to her pets. She loved food: whether it was eating out at a restaurant or cooking a meal for her family. Months before any of her loved-ones' birthdays, she was always the first to ask what they wanted her to cook for them. She believed that food equals love, and she made sure to pass that on to her children.

She is survived by three of her siblings: Martha Carrillo Garcia, Martín Carrillo Garcia, and Jaime Carrillo Garcia. She also leaves behind her partner, José Guadalupe Rodallegas Martinez, and her 4 children: Karla Alejandra Carrillo, Maximiliano Rodallegas, Joshua Guadalupe Rodallegas, and Greg Junior Rodallegas.

Though she has passed and we miss her warming presence more and more every day, she left behind a beautiful memory. Rest in peace and we love you, Mom.
