In the town of Bensenville, under the Illinois sky,

Lived a man named Nikola, known to most as Nik Skulic.

Born in the spring of '80, a bright light came to be,

A soul who'd touch so many, as you'll soon come to see.

He lived his years with purpose, with a mind so sharp and keen,

Analyzing life's great puzzles, finding what the pieces mean.

Nik's hands were always ready, to fix, to build, to mend,

A handyman with a golden heart, on whom you could depend.

The 11th of June in '25, the stars above did weep,

For Nik had fought a valiant fight, but now was laid to sleep.

Cancer may have claimed his days, but not his lasting glow,

For in our hearts and memories, his spirit continues to grow.

A father to his Chai and Chai II, with love that knew no bounds,

Survived by friends across the world. Survived by mother Novela, father Vedran, sister Arna (Joe Jordan), brother Nathaniel, nephew Liam and niece Ella.

Farewell, dear Nikola Blase Skulic, your time with us was a gift,

Your presence a constant blessing, our spirits you would lift.

Though you've sailed into the sunset, your light will never fade,
