Monte Christy Mathews, current resident of Chicago, IL and long time resident of Crane Hill, AL passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2020 at the age of 64. Monte is survived by his children John, Dennis, Laura, Robert, Jennifer, Patricia & Joseph and 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents John Roosevelt Mathews & Derada Johnston Mathews and sister Debra Mathews Nolan. Monte was a well known & respected Sheetrock contractor for many years. His hobbies included drawing, fishing and gardening. A private family memorial service will be held in Crane Hill, Alabama where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved mother.
