Michael Alan Schumacher, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on May 24, 1954, and raised in Cicero, IL, Mike lived a life characterized by laughter, generosity, and love, touching the lives of all who knew him.

Mike was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Lynn Schumacher, a loving father to his daughter, Jessica Dencker and his son-in-law Kevin Dencker. He took joy in his role as a grandfather to Maya and Benjamin Dencker, who were an immense source of pride and happiness. His brother, George Schumacher, sister-in-law Cindy Schumacher, nieces Camille Reilly and Lisa Schumacher and nephew Paul Strompolis held a special place in his heart. He also shared a great love for his sister-in-law, Millie Novak, her husband, Joe Novak, niece, Lauren Cahoon and nephew John Olds. Each family member benefited from his boundless humor and affection.

He enjoyed golfing with his buddies and spending time with family and friends. Those who knew Mike would describe him as the life of the party. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had an incredible ability to make everyone around him smile. Above all, Mike was a loving individual who valued his relationships above everything else, and his presence was a comforting and joyous light in the lives of those he touched.

As we bid farewell to Mike, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. His legacy of laughter, kindness, and love will continue to resonate with all of us. Mike's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories we share and the memories we hold dear.
