Michael Amico Baratti, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away on July 20, 2024, in his hometown of Chicago, IL. Born on February 23, 1966, in Chicago, Mike's robust laugh and larger-than-life personality personified how he lived his life. Mike grew up in Chicago, where he attended William Howard Taft High School. From a young age, his hands were skilled leading him to a fulfilling career as a carpenter. Mike inherited his strength from his parents, Mario and Maria (predeceased), leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. His siblings, Arnie (and wife Christina), Rena (and husband Ron), Mario Jr., and Leda, will always remember his big smile and larger than life personality. Mike's children, Tony, Bianca and Caitlin, are in the thoughts and prayers of the Baratti family. Mike was uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Mike was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan, his enthusiasm for football as enduring as his love for the Windy City. The words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us," Mike lived his life on his terms and to the fullest. Mike's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to those who shared in his journey and made his life one full of happiness. As we bid farewell to Mike, it is our prayer that God will bless his soul and reunite Mike with our Mother, Maria in heaven. Godspeed Mike.
