Megan Marie Lair, 31, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL. Megan was born on December 14, 1991, to Donica Zelencik (Coffman) and James Howell, both of whom preceded her in death. She was blessed with an adopted mother Lynne Olson and her husband David. She is also survived by her daughter Melina Hernandez, sisters Melissa DeFazio (Jason) and Falicia Hutchins (Blain), and her brothers Joshua Howell and Kevin Zelencik. She has several cousins, aunts and uncles.

Megan was a proud Hoosier and a graduate of Crown Point High School. Her academic journey continued at Indiana University Northwest, where she pursued her college education.

Megan was an avid movie enthusiast, particularly fond of comedies and dramas. Megan's love for film extended beyond the silver screen; she was also a dedicated follower of reality TV.

Megan's favorite foods were chips with pickle juice and Lawry's seasoning salt and taco salad with Flamin' hot Cheetos.

We are comforted knowing that Megan is now with her mother, father, sister, and grandmother who will greet her with open arms.

All are welcome to celebrate her life with a memorial luncheon on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church located at 99 South County Line Road in Crown Point, IN from 12pm – 5pm (Church is located just outside the front gate of LOFS).
