Mary Ellen Murray, aged 74, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 after a long illness.   Mary Ellen was born August 30, 1946 to the late Josephine Dorothea Zagorski and the late John Lawrence DiCenzo.  A lifelong Chicago resident, Mary Ellen attended school at St. Francis Borgia School and Good Counsel High School.  After her time at Good Counsel, she attended Eppelito Beauty School and became a successful beautician with her own beauty shop. Later, Mary Ellen met Daniel Murray (1945-1999), and the two were married in October 1969. They had three children, Larry (Glorianne Cowin), Bill (Jaime Perez) and Amy (David Hayashi).  She was a loving grandmother of four: Andrew, Michael, Gabriella and Riley. Mary Ellen loved to be on the go.  She was an active member of her rosary group and she loved to go to movies, festivals, concerts and plays.  Most important to her was spending quality time with her family. Mary Ellen was a friend to everyone who knew her.  Whether you knew her as an aunt, cousin, friend, beautician, den mother, chauffeur, your friend's mom, from rosary group, a concert attendee or even just a rider on the bus, she was your friend. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
