She was a devoted mother to Leila Arellano, wife to José Arellano, a caring Aunt to Yanet and Uriel Ortega, Adalid "Pollito" Rojas, Alejandro "Negrito" Rojas, and Uriel Jr, Khris, and Mya Ortega. Her presence was a comforting embrace that enveloped her family in times of need and celebration alike. Her life in Monterrey laid the foundation for her renowned culinary skills. Gela was often referred to as the best pasta maker in her community, a title she wore with humble pride. Friends and family members would frequently gather around to enjoy it. Gela's zest for life was contagious, and her interests reflected her vibrant spirit. A lover of dance, she could often be found swaying to the rhythm of music, her feet moving in perfect harmony, and her face alight with the purest joy.
