Mackenzie Ann Morris, of Greensboro, NC, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2022. She was only 28 years old. The family is both devastated and shocked by her death.

Mackenzie was born on February 7, 1994 to Marcy and Edward Morris Jr. After graduating high school she went on to study at the University of Alabama. She met her fiancé Garrett Isley and they were planning their wedding in Costa Rica for January, 2023. They worked for the same company and worked from home side by side and loved playing with their two kitties Licorice and Chicken Nugget. Mackenzie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Judy Dektor and grandparents, Rita and Edward Morris Sr. She is survived by her parents, Marcy and Edward Morris Jr., brother, Edward Morris III, Grandfather Edward Dektor, Aunt Heidi Dektor, Uncle Greg (Gina) Dektor, Uncle Steven (Sharon) Dektor, Aunt Robin (Scott) Wangler, and Aunt Kim Stewart along with many cousins. Mackenzie will remain in the hearts of all who knew her and will be missed forever by her family and friends.

A service was held on Wednesday, September 7th, at Temple Emanuel in Greensboro. She loved Halloween so a remembrance to honor the memory of her is planned later in October.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Crooked Tail Cat Café in Greensboro, NC, an organization that Mackenzie felt strongly about.
