Lynn Marie Chelf-Mehrabi, 65, of Round Lake Beach, Ill. passed away on May 27, 2023, in Northbrook, Ill.

Lynn was born in Indianapolis on May 16, 1958, and spent her childhood in Brownsburg, Ind. She attended Indiana State University and later graduated with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Mundelein College in Chicago. She obtained a second bachelor's in education from Northeastern Illinois University in 1998, devoting the remainder of her career teaching elementary and middle school special education in Round Lake, Gurnee, and Antioch, Ill. schools. In addition to her work, Lynn enjoyed movies, gardening, collecting antiques, and spending time with her pets and grandchildren.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Jane (Lutes) Chelf, and her brother Brian Douglas Chelf. She is survived by her three children: Donna Mehrabi (Joel Cunningham) of Brooklyn, New York, Bryant Mehrabi of Oak Creek, Wisc., and Brandon Mehrabi of Goldendale, Wash., as well as her grandchildren Nina, Ben, and Reed. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Lynn is survived by her former husband, Abolfazl Mehrabi; siblings Leslea, Penny, and Michael Chelf, and her beloved niece, Caroline (John) Parks.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Grove of Northbrook and Accent Care Hospice for their loving care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
