Luis "Rick" Enrique Arteaga

Age 52, passed away on June 8, 2026.

Rick was the kind of man who found joy in the right things — a fishing line in the water, something good on the grill, a movie playing in the background, and his family close by. He faced years of health challenges with a strength and humor that was all his own, proudly calling himself Superman. In many ways, he was.

His greatest pride was his son Julian, who recently graduated high school and earned acceptance into college — a milestone Rick celebrated with a father's whole heart.

Rick is survived by his wife, Jacquie Saavedra; his son, Julian Arteaga; his daughter, Alexus Schoolfield, and her husband Tevin Schoolfield; two grandchildren; his mother, Socorro Arteaga; and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his father, Austerberto Arteaga.

Though his cape has been laid down, we trust that he is now held in the hands of God, at peace and free from pain. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
