Lorraine Susan "Suzy" Parker

Suzy passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on July 20th, 1958, Suzy spent nearly her entire life in Chicago, a city she called home and whose people she quietly cherished.

Though a private person by nature, Suzy found her calling in roles that brought her into the heart of her community—working at Donna's Lounge in Cicero and then Loretto Hospital in Chicago. She had a natural warmth and a subtle wit, and those who met her were often touched by her understated kindness and calm strength.

Suzy now joins her beloved parents, Godfrey and Theresa, as well as her sister Anne and brother Phillip, who both passed in 2021, and her cousin Andrew. Though she never had children of her own, Suzy's life was filled with family. She leaves behind her brother Paul and many dear cousins from the Parker family—David, Gary, Noel, Derek, Jim, Sallyanne, Tom, Joycelyn, Margaret, and Bernard—along with her nieces and nephews: David, Lee, Ian, Matthew, Thomas, Lucy, Yara, and Phil Jr.

Matthew and Thomas fondly remember a special trip in 2001, when Suzy and her father Godfrey visited London. The memory of Suzy's joy as they explored the city's sights together remains a cherished part of their lives.

Suzy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, remembered for her gentle spirit, dedication to others, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life.
