Linda Owens, 82, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. She was born September 9, 1940 in White Hall, Illinois to her parents Verl and Martha Owens. She was raised in Carrollton, Illinois and moved to Chicago in 1960. She married and was formerly Linda Miceli, had three daughters and divorced. She raised her girls; Lisa, Laurel and Megan on her own in northwest Chicago and Park Ridge, Illinois. She worked for many years at American Medical Technologists in Park Ridge. She retired and moved to Oregon, Illinois in 2003 and returned to northwest Chicago in the summer of 2021 to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren.

Linda was a devoted and loving mom to Lisa Miceli, Laurel Miceli and Megan Miceli as well as an adoring grandmother to grandchildren Christine Betterman, Jack Betterman and William Betterman. She was also the proud aunt of Tracy Weiman and Douglas MacGowan.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother Martha, father Verl and sister Barbara Owens.

Linda enjoyed reading, especially mysteries and doing jigsaw puzzles and crosswords. She loved music, watching historical and mystery dramas and having phone conversations with loved ones. She also loved her relationships with animals especially those with her grand dogs and grand cats.

She is a beautiful soul and is dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal welfare organization, shelter or sanctuary.
