Obituary

Li Li Hung-Anderson, a truly wonderful mother, sister, wife, daughter and friend, passed away January 24th, 2025 peacefully surrounded by her family.

Li Li, born to Lai Fong (Shirley) Leaven and father Larry Leaven (passed in 2017) moved to Des Moines, Iowa from Singapore and graduated from Drake University in accounting. She married husband Darren Anderson and had two daughters, eldest daughter AnnMarie Anderson and daughter Ashley Wells-Anderson.

Li Li and family moved to Naperville, Illinois then Chicago for their love of the city and had attended Moody Bible church while battling her 3 year stomach cancer.

Li Li's faith and love for Jesus as well as strength was so inspiring to everyone who knew her.

Her family and many friends deeply admired her strong faith as it was talked about often, including Bible studies and getting to meet someone who inspired her, Joel Osteen, as he prayed for her as well.

It was in those moments of happiness as well as trials and tribulations that she leaned on the Lord for everything she did.

Li Li has close family in Singapore, lowa and Seattle as well including her brother, Kelvin Hung, cousins, aunts, and in laws.

She traveled with thrill and visited many places including Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Europe, Indonesia, over 30 states and many more.

Everyone who met Li Li always had a smile on their face. She was always remembered for her kindness,

selflessness, and optimism.

She was always so hard working and gracious, going above and beyond for everyone.

Li Li never gave up and fought to the very end. She loved running marathons with her family and obtained many medals.

Li Li also enjoyed decorating, trying new foods, scrapbooking, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is so dearly loved and cherished, an unforgettable woman. She is with Jesus in Paradise.
