Levan was a man of many passions, with a sense of humor that was as legendary as his warmth and love for his family and friends. He attended Montefiore Academy on the West Side of Chicago, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for learning that he carried throughout his life.

Known for his quick wit and ability to fill a room with laughter, Levan was also dubbed "Scarface" by those closest to him, a nickname he embraced with the same good humor that characterized his everyday interactions. Uncle Van, as he was dearly called by his nieces and nephews, had a unique bond with each of them, often regaling them with stories and jokes about that one deep dimple he proudly proclaimed was adored by all.

Levan's legacy is carried on through his loving family, which includes his eight siblings: Sherry (Andrew), Lakesha (Ralph), Shannon (Dana), Travette Jones, Tamario Jones, David Cottingham, Torrance Roland, and Martese Roland. He was a cherished nephew to his loving aunts and uncles, a caring cousin to many, and a devoted uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom found joy and comfort in his presence.

Preceded in death by his mother, Valerie Jones, and his beloved grandparents, Willie L. and Hattie Bee Jones, Levan now joins them in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
