Korbi Lee
Bare
Nov 23, 1986 — Oct 12, 2026
People will remember Korbi for her creativity, sharp wit, determination, and the special light she
brought to everyone around her.
Growing up in Holt, Michigan, Korbi’s big personality showed early on. She enjoyed cooking,
baking, swimming, arts and crafts, and especially loved sports. She was always the entertainer,
making home videos and charming everyone she met, a trait she kept throughout her life.
After high school, Korbi moved to Chicago to study graphic design at Columbia College.
Chicago soon felt like home, and over the next 21 years, she built a life full of close friendships
and memorable adventures.
Korbi found her calling in the wild world of events, which took her around the world and let her
be part of amazing experiences. She helped decorate the White House for Christmas and worked
with well-known clients like McDonald’s, Ulta Beauty, Southwest Airlines, Pepsi, and Molson
Coors. In 2015, she and her sister, Robi, founded Bare Design, building a business that reflected
their creativity, ambition, and commitment to excellence.
Korbi was truly talented at what she did and had a special gift for helping others shine. She
impressed everyone she worked with, from CEOs to her teammates, always making the team
look good. No matter the project, she brought honesty, creativity, humor, and friendship, along
with a strong commitment to doing her best. For Korbi, building real relationships mattered as
much as the work itself. Many of her colleagues became lifelong friends and chosen family,
showing how genuine her connections were.
Outside of work, Korbi lived life with the same excitement she brought to her career. She
traveled for business, but her favorite times were the yearly YOLO girls’ trips. More recently,
she traveled to San Sebastián, the Champagne region of France, and Cancún. She knew how to
turn any trip into an adventure and any gathering into a story worth retelling, especially if there
was a VIP cabana involved (Lovers and Friends 2023, never forget).
Korbi leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond her professional accomplishments. It lives
on in the people she inspired, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she made
brighter. She changed perspectives, brought people together, and reminded those around her to
embrace life with humor, courage, and authenticity.
Korbi was truly one of a kind and will never be forgotten.
