Kevin Christopher Berard, age 35, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Aurora, Illinois.

Born on March 6, 1989, Kevin was known for his vibrant personality and ability to light up any room with laughter. He had a knack for solving problems and could fix almost anything, a skill that was only matched by his love for video games, movies, music, and playing guitar. Kevin proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he embraced the challenges and

camaraderie that came with military life.

After his service, he continued to impact those around him with his joyful spirit and handy skills. He is survived by his son, Nathaniel Berard of Secor, Illinois; mother, Kathi Reed and stepfather Steve Brooking of Pace, Florida; father, Christopher Berard and stepmother Stacy Berard of Marana, Arizona; sister, Kayla Berard of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and grandparents, Jean Reed Blakely and step grandfather James Blakely of Fredericktown, Ohio, and Thomas and Geraldine Berard of Daytona Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Neal Reed of Fredericktown, Ohio.

Kevin graduated from Oswego High School in 2007, marking the beginning of a journey filled with friendships and adventures. Despite his many interests and activities, his favorite times were those spent with friends and family.

No memorial services have been scheduled. Kevin's life was a testament to the joy and resilience of the human spirit, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
