Kenneth James
Cox
May 23, 1941 — Oct 25, 2025
Kenneth James Cox, known affectionately as Ken to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Bensenville, IL, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on May 23, 1941, in Joliet, IL, his 84 years of life were marked by the love he had for his family, his passion for the outdoors, and the many lives he touched with his kindhearted spirit.
Ken was the beloved father of Tina Cox Santille (Scott) and Kevin Cox (Dina). His role as a grandfather was one he cherished deeply, leaving a legacy of fond memories with his grandchildren: Travis St. Amand (Rachel), Matthew St. Amand (Lanaya), Carter St. Amand (Krysten), Jason Cox, Katelyn Cox, Olivia Santille (Jason), and Augie Santille. Ken was also a proud great-grandfather to Cheyenne, Grayson, and Isla. He will be profoundly missed by all of them.
Before his passing, Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arlene (nee Divis), his brother Ron and his parents, Francis and Gayle (nee Davidson). Ken's family was the center of his world, and though they mourn his loss, they take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his loved ones who passed before him.
Ken's fishing trips were often less about the catch and more about the adventure and the stories he would bring back. He spent many vacations teaching his grandchildren his fishing skills. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his philosophy on life—to appreciate the beauty of nature, to tell tales of the one that got away and to pass that on to the next generation.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Ken will be dearly missed, but his spirit will be remembered forever by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
