Passed peacefully in her sleep today at her residence

Died 8:30 AM February 17th 2025

Dearest Aunt to Jacob & Ciara Bower

Her best friends since childhood and college Stefanie and Donna
Karen was predeceased by her loving parents Elsie & Bill and her beloved cat Miss Mamouna who passed on January 29th 2025 and her Aunt Kay Kroger
Karen gracefully managed the diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer for over 1 year staying quite active up until her passing
Karen met most seriously her duty as a mother to Mamouna to stay alive until her passing.
She was a graduate of St Andrew's grade school, Newman Central Catholic High School
She attended Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois
She was a dedicated employee of TWA as a Reservation Specialist and manager which gave her license to travel the World which she did and graciously offered up her travel benefits to her parents that she shared many trips and exciting adventures
Karen was a brilliant individual, well read and educated in Art History
She will be missed by her Family and Friends the most recent of which was her incredible caretaker Miss Verna who Karen loved most dearly as her partner in her last adventures
Her Family is most grateful to Miss Verna for her dedicated Friendship foremost and faithful service in allowing Karen to remain a proud resident of her residence up until her passing
Karen fell yesterday but refused to go to the hospital as she in the end as she did through her life "Had it Her Way"
The Family also wants to acknowledge the precious care Nurse Polly who provided for her over the last year as without her the Family could not have managed the devastating diagnosis Karen received and courageously endured, never complaining and always cheerful to any and all she encountered
Dearest Karen will be tremendously missed by all that knew her and were fortunate enough to have in her life
May she rest in peace in the Kingdom of heaven with her Parents and beloved cat children
