Obituary

June Nicole Lynch Robinson was born on January 1, 1973, in Aurora, Illinois, to the union of Walter Elijah Lynch and Leola Theresa Lynch. From the beginning, June's life reflected creativity, warmth, and a deep love for people.

June received her early education at Aurora Christian and Emmanuel Lutheran Schools, attended Waldo Junior High School, and graduated from East Aurora High School, where she excelled in drama and music. A gifted and passionate singer, June sang in the Greater Mount Olive Church of God in Christ choir and later served as a worship singer at Family and Faith Christian Church.

June was christened and baptized at Greater Mount Olive Church of God in Christ by the late Bishop William Haven Bonner. She was christened to godparents, the late Barbara Foster McCullomb and the late Charles Berry. Her faith in God and recognition of His goodness never wavered, and it was evident throughout her life in how she loved, served, forgave, and showed up for others.

June built an accomplished career at Verizon Wireless in Elgin, Illinois, where she worked her way into senior management and became a nationally awarded customer service manager. Her passion for people, training, and development shone brightly and left a lasting impact on those she mentored and led.

At the age of 20, June married her former husband, Kenyon Robinson. From their 25-year union came three cherished children: Allana Samone Robinson, Grace Nicole Robinson, and Isaiah Lashon Robinson. Being a mother was June's greatest pride and joy.

June was a fiercely loyal friend and lovingly referred to many of her childhood friends as her sisters. She was known for her sparkle—sparkly everything—her love of Hello Kitty, beauty products, kitchen gadgets, recipes, music, fashion, pop culture, and her endless conversations. Yet above all, she was known for her devotion to family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and a proud Nuna.

Only months prior to her passing, though not completely well, June returned to Illinois to honor a sacred promise she made to her mother-in-law, Brenda Robinson—that if she were ever needed in her final days, June would be there. June faithfully fulfilled that promise, embodying selfless love and unwavering devotion.

June was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Cynthia Shawna Lynch (1972), her mother, Leola Theresa Lynch (1997), and her father, Walter Elijah Lynch (1999).

She leaves to cherish her memory: one aunt, Betty Murray (Walter) of Mississippi; her sister, Tracey "Sissy" Lynch Vardiman (Darrell) of Indiana; her brother, Walter Lynch II of Nevada; her bonus brother, Sam Miller of Illinois; her children, Allana Robinson of Indiana, Grace "Gracey" Robinson of Indiana, and Isaiah Robinson of Illinois; her nieces, Morey Strozier of Indiana, ReQuita Waters of Illinois, Mariah Lynch and Morgan Lynch of Illinois; her nephew, Roderic Strozier II of Texas; her great-nephews, William Strozier and Chandler Moore of Indiana; several beloved cousins; her lifelong friends Rochelle Daniels, LaWonna Berry, and Sylvia Barrios—her sisters—and Candace Turner, who shared a very special and meaningful relationship with June.

They may say her heart gave out. Those who knew her best know the truth—her heart gave in, having loved fully, given endlessly, and kept every promise.
