Judith Ellen Plummer DeVries, known affectionately as Judith to her friends and family, passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 80, in Chicago, Illinois.

Born on August 24, 1943, in Canton,Ohio, Judith's life was characterized by her generosity, intelligence, and loving nature. Judith's early years in Canton laid the foundation for a life full of learning and nurturing. Her radiant spirit and keen intellect were evident from a young age, leading her to a path of lifelong education and personal growth.

Judith's passion for knowledge and her desire to empower others culminated in her esteemed role as the Director of Learning for Challenger Executive Coaching, where she served diligently from 2005 until her passing. Through her work, Judith touched the lives of countless individuals, guiding them to achieve their fullest potential both personally and professionally.

Family was the cornerstone of Judith's life. She is survived by her son, Marc Kaufholz, and her daughter, Kaaren Stuart, along with her son-in-law, Lee Stuart. Judith's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom for her grandsons, Maxwell (wife Caitlin), Alexander, John, Kenneth, and Jack. The recent addition of her great-granddaughter, Elouise, brought her immense joy and continued the family lineage she cherished so dearly.

Judith's interests were as diverse as they were meaningful. An avid reader, she found solace and excitement in the pages of countless books. As a proud grandmother, sharing photos of her family was one of her favorite pastimes. Her dog, Cocoa, and her longtime dear friend, Anthony, were a source of companionship, happiness, and tranquility.

Judith's generosity extended beyond her family and career. She was a beacon of support in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her intelligence was not only reflected in her career achievements but also in her thoughtful conversations and the insightful advice she offered to all who knew her.
