Joseph Montefinese, age 92, of Indian Head Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2026, surrounded by love.

He was the father of seven children, including a daughter who preceded him in death during her infancy. He shared a particularly close bond with his children Natalie, Mary, and Rick (Amy), whose love and companionship brought him great comfort throughout his later years. He was also a beloved “Grampy” to his two granddaughters, Gabby and Mia, who were a tremendous source of joy and pride in his life.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Joe embraced his Italian heritage and was an artist at heart. He treasured the many friendships he made throughout his life and genuinely enjoyed the company of others, always trying to be funny right up until the very end.

He will be deeply missed, but we like to imagine him once again enjoying a sunset from the balcony alongside Pat, his beloved wife of 60 years, who preceded him in death in 2022.
