Jesse Carter aka "JC" was born July 24, 1944 in Arcola, Mississippi to Viola Williams and James Carter.

Jesse was preceded in death by both of his parents, grandparents, one sister; Loistene Brooks, two brothers; Larry Williams and Micheal Williams.

As a young man he received his education in Chicago. He always wanted to help out his family so he took a job working for White Castle Restaurant and Caroline's Bakery. His siblings remember feasting on all the White Castle hamburgers he would bring home that were not sold at the end of his shift. Jesse spent most of his life in Detroit, Michigan where he worked for Ford Motor Company. Detroit was also the place where he became a motorcycle enthusiast. His love for motorcycles was so deep that he joined the Sons of Zodiac Motorcycle Club where he held several offices, including president of the club. He told biker stories everywhere he went. When he spoke of them, he made you feel like you were on the road riding with him. He loved dressing in full biker attire and riding his Harley. It was truly one of the joys of his life. When he wasn't riding his bike, he loved to wear suits, hats and rings. Even in his last days he would often wear a suit just to go grocery shopping or pay his bills.

Jesse is survived by his six children, Carole Carter, Carl Carter, Aquilla Milton, James Walker, Calvin Carter and David McNair; His two sisters Betty Lewis (Charlie), Michelle Burks (Charles) and his brother Finley Williams; His thirteen grandchildren, Jacqueline, Elijah, Justice, Taja, Alexus, De'ante, James Jr., Kalil, Chantelle, N'vee, Jahvier, Kaydynce, Jayden; his four great grandchildren, Camara, Elijah Jr., Arayla, Aranai and a host of relatives and friends.
