Jeffrey Scott Case, 78, of Vero Beach, Florida and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 28, 2026.
Born on May 31, 1947 on Long Island, New York to John D and Ruth (Amberman) Case, he attended the Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ before receiving a bachelors degree from Hobart College in Geneva, NY, a masters degree in architecture from The Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and an MBA from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Jeffrey was a principal at the architectural firm Holabird & Root for over three decades. He collaborated on many of their commercial and academic buildings as well as designing many residences for clients who would become lifelong friends. He was a licensed architect in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida and was an active member of many professional architectural organizations.
He was a passionate golfer with memberships at the Moorings Yacht and Country Club in Florida and Chikaming Country Club in Michigan. He was a talented artist, a dog lover, a nature lover and a loyal friend to many, known for his wonderful sense of humor. He greatly enjoyed entertaining friends and family in houses he designed or renovated in Florida, Indiana, and Chicago.
He is survived by his spouse, Dale Olah, and his niece, Virginia Case. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jay Case.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a date to be determined.
