Obituary

James M. Lynch, affectionately known as Jim or Jimmy to his family and friends, left this world peacefully due to natural causes on August 29, 2024, in Chicago, IL. Born on January 13, 1961, in Santa Ana, CA, Jim's life was a testament to the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of those around him.

Jim's early years were spent with his family in California and Texas eventually moving to Illinois. He was the beloved son of Michael Reilly Lynch and Rosalie Lynch, both of whom predeceased him, as did his brothers, Donald (D.J.) Lynch and Shawn Lynch. His sister, Kim Kloese, remains to honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on their family as well as his fiancé, Teresa Russotto.

A proud graduate of Joliet East High School, Jim's formative years were spent in the halls and classrooms of Joliet Public Schools, where he not only received his education but also forged lifelong friendships. After graduation, Jim channeled his passion for building and fixing things into a successful career as a carpenter. Known for his skilled hands and keen eye for detail, he built a reputation as a craftsman who could always be relied upon for quality work.

Jim's love for sports was evident to all who knew him. Baseball and football were not just pastimes but passions that he pursued with enthusiasm. Whether he was playing, watching, or discussing the latest game, Jim's energy and love for the sports were infectious.

As we bid farewell to Jim, we celebrate a life lived with gusto. We will remember him not just for the things he built with his hands, but for the love and laughter he constructed in our lives.

Jim's legacy is one of craftsmanship, and an unwavering zest for life. He will be sorely missed by his sister, Kim, and by all who knew him.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."Matthew 11:28-29

Rest in peace, Jimmy. Your laughter, your warmth, and your adventurous heart will never be forgotten.
