In loving memory of James Edward Lockhart.

We celebrate the life of a man who made a lasting impact on the world and the hearts of those who knew him. James Lockhart was called to be with the lord on September 30, 2023, at 85 years old. He was born to Alonzo Lockhart and Ruby McAfee in Warren, Arkansas, on April 14, 1938.

He is survived by his son, Jerod Lockhart (Stephanie), ex-wife Lurlean Lockhart, and preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Pauline Lockhart. James Lockhart's siblings preceded him in death barring Lawrence Sr. He had five brothers and one sister - ML, Alonzo Jr., Matthew, Dorothy, Lawrence Sr., and Eugene.

Born in the heart of Arkansas, he spent his early years at The Piney Woods School in Mississippi, where values were instilled in him that would shape his character throughout his life. He entered into a lifelong commitment with Lurlean Lockhart at a young age. Their love story was one of resilience and growth. Together, they brought two wonderful children, Jerod James and Robin Pauline Lockhart, into the world.

Professionally, he was a talented computer programmer who offered personalized courses in the bustling city of Chicago. He also pursued acting, modeling, and singing. His expertise was a source of inspiration to many, and he was known for his dedication to his craft.

Nevertheless, a side of him was equally passionate about horse racing. He often employed his computer skills with the races. It was a pursuit that brought excitement and purpose to his life.

His wishes were to donate funds in his name to Piney Woods School.
