Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Lauder, a beacon of kindness and creativity, left this world far too soon on April 19, 2024, due to a tragic accident. Born on December 19, 1984, in Aurora, IL, Jackie's journey took her to Naperville, IL, Little Rock, AR, Woodstock, GA, Roswell, GA, Rockford, IL and back to the vibrant energy of Chicago.

Her educational journey was both varied and vibrant. Jackie studied at New York University, Rock Valley College, and finally the University of Illinois at Chicago, reflecting her insatiable thirst for knowledge and a passion for understanding the world around her. Jackie enjoyed working with children and adults, providing guidance and support that was nurtured by her innate ability to listen and offer solace as a trusted confidant.

Jackie's life was a testament to her profound love for art, music, writing, poetry, journaling her philosophy, and theology. She approached life with a curiosity that was never satisfied; always delving deeper into explorations of her God, the cosmos and what existed beyond "the here and now." Her love for cats and affinity for connecting with strangers on trains epitomized her acceptance of others, greeting everyone with an open heart and a ready hug.

Family was the cornerstone of Jackie's world. She was the beloved daughter of the late Marguerite Connelly-Greene and Harry Lauder, a loving sister to Melanie Wicks, Bailey (Matt) Young, Braden Lauder, Andrew (Kato) Wolf, Blake Lauder, Robert (Flannery) Greene and Charlotte Greene. A revered aunt to Jordan and Jade Lee. Her best friend, Marilyn Whitlow, could always count on Jackie's unwavering loyalty and infectious laughter. Jackie was a valued niece, cousin and friend to many, her vast network of love and relationships stretched far and wide, bringing light to everyone she encountered.

Intelligent, kind, and endlessly optimistic, Jackie's legacy is one that will continue to inspire and motivate all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her memory will forever be a guiding star in the lives she touched. Jackie Lauder, your light shines on.
