Gregory Eugene Macy, 50, from Valparaiso, Indiana passed away unexpectedly in Chicago, Il on Thursday, October 9th, 2025.

Greg was born on March 16th, 1975 in Macon, Georgia, the youngest of 4 siblings.

He attended Valparaiso High School.

Greg was an avid skateboarder, golfer and truly loved the outdoors. He also loved his rescue dog, Odin, with whom he enjoyed long walks, playing catch, and traveling with. Greg was a loyal fan of UGA football and UK basketball. He was a skilled carpenter and also very talented woodworking artist.

Greg is survived by Candice, his girlfriend with whom he resided in Oak Park, Il. As well as, his brother, Randy Macy(Ashley) of Warner Robins, Ga; sister, Paige Harris(Kendall) of Macon, Ga; two nieces and one great niece.

Greg was preceded in death by Penni R. Porter(sister), Kitti R. Macy(mother), and Larry E. Macy(father).

A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
