For over two decades, she snipped and styled with flair at her own beauty shop, where the gossip was hot, but her haircuts were hotter. A pillar of the community, she also lent her vibrant energy to the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, advocating for local businesses with the same passion she gave to every endeavor.

Her advocacy didn't stop at commerce; Gerri was a fierce supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment, women's rights, and animal rescues. She fought for equality with the tenacity of a lioness and the heart of the stray cats she so adored. Her gardens, once award-winning and the envy of every green thumb around, exemplified her belief in nurturing beauty and growth in all forms.

Gerri's interests were as eclectic as her personality. She loved to dance, with moves that even the best of 'Dancing with the Stars' couldn't replicate.
