Fredric Paul Janis, 74 of Evanston, Il, passed away on August 3, 2022. Beloved spouse to Candace P Davis. Cherished father of Daniel Davis-Boxleitner and his spouse Kathy and H James Davis Janis (DJ) and his partner Brandy Hastings. He will be leaving behind his loving grandchild Ethan Davis-Boxleitner as well as his sister Marge Eler and her husband Ihsan and their children Alicia and Jenny. Fred was 74 and continued to work in his plumbing business despite his Parkinsons until his final illness. Fred was a graduate of Bradley University in Electrical Engineering and worked for Western Electric as a manager and engineer and later as operator of an electron scanning microscope for a number of years before joining his father, uncle and cousin in the Lindstedt Plumbing business. Over the years he enjoyed a rich life filled with family, friends and fun travel including skiing in Colorado and beach vacations in Hawaii and Florida as well as other trips spent exploring different corners of the world. Fred had a wide circle of friends and customers who will miss him greatly. There will be a celebration of life for Fred on Saturday, August 13th from 1:00-4 pm at his home in Evanston.
