Frederic James Grossman, 92 of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 24, 2025. Fred was born on August 28, 1932 in Chicago. An Army Veteran, Fred served as a Judge Advocate in Germany from 1957-1960. Returning to Chicago as a law clerk, he married the late Sandra L. Meyer in 1961 and were happily married for 32 years until Sandy's passing in 1993.

Fred had a very successful career as a Defense Trial Attorney at Clausen, Miller, Gorman, Caffrey & Witous. In the later stages of his career he focused on Medical Malpractice suits. He always said he defended the "Good Guys" – doctors and hospitals.

Fred will be missed by his surviving brother (Ronald), sister-in-law (Janet), children (Jeff, Sue, Stephen and Joanne), grandchildren (Sean, Andrew, Lauren, Jamie and Jenna) and Great Grandaughter (Josefina).

Funeral Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred's memory to Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
