Our beloved Francisco (Paco) Ruiz left this world suddenly on Sunday November 26, 2023 surrounded by the people who loved him.

Paco is survived by his daughter Sofia (daughter of Alina Munteanu), his partner in life Aneta Capraru , his mother Lilia (the late Jose Ruiz Oct 2022) his siblings Alejandro (Alex, Elena Martinez) & Lilia (Lucy, Carlos Cantu) having been preceded in death by his brothers the late Hector (Morris Aug 1993) & the late Jose (Pepe May 2020). Paco is also survived by his nieces and nephew Patty, Stephanie & Carlitos Cantu, Paloma & Veronica Ruiz as well as a good number of cousins, uncles and aunts in Chicago as well as in his father's native San Luis Potosí, SLP, Mexico who all have fond memories of the full image of life that Paco was.

He was a dedicated father to Sofia and followed her throughout the country on her volleyball tournaments. She couldn't have wished for a better father. He was a passionate traveler who enjoyed the sights and the foods of everywhere he visited. Paco was an accomplished chef and restauranteur having owned a number of well reviewed and popular establishments in Chicago among them Caoba & Bullhead Cantina. Paco could always be smiling from ear to ear at the slightest joke and offering assistance when needed.

Always the life of the party Paco will be remembered in the hearts of those he loved and befriended. May he rest in peace and join his deceased father and brothers.
