Eshter Mae Rogers was born June 15, 1934 in Mansura, Louisiana to the late Joseph Galo Francisco and Catherine Moore Francisco. She was the youngest of ten children born to this union; Adam, Lavenia, Anderson, Harry, Sr., Cecillia, Hazel Lucas, Buvern Francisco and Ervin (all preceded her in transitioning).

Esther graduated from High School and moved to Chicago to live with and assist her older brother and sister-in-law, Buvern Francisco Sr. and Lola Francisco with their children. Esther met and married her late husband Richard Rogers during her early years living in Chicago, Il. To this union one son was born, Andre Rogers.

Esther held a few jobs during her lifetime. Her first job was at Leaders Cleaners and last job was at Cook County Hospital in which she enjoyed. Esther was an owner/operator of several businesses in Chicago. Esther was the happiest when she was assisting and caring for others, keeping things sterile and in order and eating. Eating was her favorite past time.

God called Esther home on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.

Esther leaves to cherish her loving son and bonus daughter, Andre Rogers and Tamika Rogers; grandchildren Tiera Owens and Charles Granger; four grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews including Buvern Jr. Francisco (Charlene) and Alvin Francisco; special bonus family, Olevia Rogers and family.
