Dwight "Whitey" D. Hanson was born in Chicago, Il October 19, 1956 to Albert and Eunice Hanson.

Whitey was the 5th child of 8 and lived in Carol Stream, Il. from 1967-1977. He moved to Lake County Il in 1977 where he and his family started a Real Estate Investing business. Later he became a handyman for several Lake & Mchenry County investors. Whitey was a Christian man who valued his faith.

Whitey suffered from brain and bone cancer. He was cared for by Westmont Manor in Westmont Il.where he passed away in his sleep on October 10, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 siblings and brother in law. He is survived by his 3 sisters, Donna Goorsky, Deborah (John) Balfour , Delores (Allen) Weissman, and his brother Dennis (Sandra) Hanson. Whitey had many neices, nephews and friends.
