Dr Douye .Tekena. Kosipre was born on 12th November, 1989. He is the first son and the second born to his parents, Late Dr Lishman .Lee. Kosipre and Mrs Helen .Dawaribuku. Kosipre, of Kilama-Biseni, in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria.

Douye was a gentle, soft spoken, calm personality, coming from a highly reputable family of medicine, his late Dad was a medical doctor and his Mum a nurse (Retired). Douye has a very religious background, he comes from a Christian home and has a christian background and upbringing.

His early years, Douye started his Nursery and Lower Primary Education in September 1991 to December 1996 at Bereton Montessori Nursery and Primary School, Ernest Ikoli, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

By January 1997, the family moved to Lusaka, Zambia, where his late Dad, late Dr Lishman .Lee. Kosipre went on for further Medical studies and specialization in Orthopedics, there by moving the family to Zambia.

In Zambia, from January 1997 to January 2000, Douye completed his upper primary education at the King's Highway International school, A Seventh day Adventist school.

The family moved back to Nigeria from Zambia in January 2000. By the year 2000, Douye started his Secondary School Education as he gained admission into JSS1 at Emarid College, Harbour Road, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, where he successfully completed his Junior Secondary School Education.

By September 2003, he gained admission into the Niger Delta Science School (N.D.S.S), Rumuola, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria to start his Senior Secondary Education. He graduated from Secondary school in July 2006.

His pursuit for his passion of becoming a Medical Doctor started in September 2006 when he gained admission to study Medicine, into the College of Medicine, University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

He further went to pursue his medical dreams at the V.N.Karazina National University of Medicine, Kharkiv, Ukraine, where he completed his studies and graduated as a Doctor of Medicine in July 2015.

From Ukraine, By January 2016, Douye moved briefly to Liverpool in the United Kingdom, where he worked with the Vascular Surgery Department at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital, NHS Trust.

In July 2016, Douye moved to the United States of America. During his stay in America he has worked in various Medical institutions and facilities.

While staying in the United States of America, Douye had written the United States Medical Licensure Exams ( USMLE step 1, step 2CK, step 2CS, step 3) and passed.

Douye registered with the Education Council for Foreign Medical Graduates, (ECFMG) and obtained his medical practicing license.

Before his untimely death, Late Dr Douye.Tekena. Kosipre, was a Doctor of Medicine and a Certified Laboratory Scientist, He was last seen on Tuesday June 24th 2025 by 6.30pm. He worked as a Clinical Researcher at the University of Chicago Hospital, Department of Pathology, also at the University of Chicago, Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

He has left behind his Beloved Mother,

Elder Sister, Younger Brother, Brother in-law, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts', Friends and Colleagues to mourn him. May His gentle Soul Rest in Peace, Amen.
